Week 1 Overview of Sandbox UI

Overview of Sandbox UI: 10 tips/tricks

1. Right click on the perspective tab in the rop right hand corner of the display to change the viewpoint - wireframe, ect.

2. Most tasks can be accomplished by taking several different routes.

3. By name search function can isolate all entities that match the word searched.

4. The "status bar" shows the amount of  objects selected, which can then be "locked" in order to work with only those that are selected.

5. On the status bar to the right of the speed inputs there is a clipping button which turns collision of the terrain on and off.

6. The AI/Physics button on the status bar, simulates the environment as if you were "in game" while still allowing you in edit mode.

7. Use the console button to enter commands in order to customise options.

8. For grid and angle snaps go to the display tab, where you can change the values.

9. Instead of reloading the entire editor go to the tools tab where you can load certain parts of your level individually

10. All panels can be accessed through View > Open View Pane, - useful if you can't find something or accidentally close something . Rollup bar and console can be opened through view.
